How does Vampire Repellent work without DEET?

Chemicals do work and kill the flying pests. They also sadly are harmful to us humans no matter what some companies claim. We chose to use mother nature and its amazing ability to ward off certain flying insects. Our ingredients do not kill any of the bugs, but they do not like it. They will choose to take their appetite elsewhere.

Why should I choose a natural bug repellent over a traditional chemical bug spray?

Many people prefer our natural repellent because it’s gentler on skin, has a pleasant scent (instead of that harsh chemical smell and feel) and is more environmentally friendly.

Has Vampire Repellent been studied?

Yes, it has been studied and tested for the past 5+ years on individuals traveling all over the world. It has worked all over the United States, along the Nile River, the Daintree Rainforest in Australia, the Amazon Jungle and backyards around the globe.

Is Vampire Repellent vegan?

Yes! Our core philosophy is to exist in harmony with our natural surroundings, which means 100% plant-based ingredients.

Is Vampire Repellent tested on animals?

No. Our approach is to exist in harmony with our natural surroundings. All of our products are cruelty-free. 

Where is Vampire Repellent made?

Along the shores of Lake Michigan in Evanston, Illinois, and all products are hand made in small batches for maximum efficacy, using globally sourced raw materials of the highest quality and purity.

Can I use Vampire Repellent on my pets?

Yes, but a bit of advice. Spray your hands first to gently rub on your furry friends. Dogs particularly benefit when protecting their ears. While all our ingredients are natural, avoid ingesting or getting in the eyes. So be mindful where you spray.

Can my children use Vampire Repellent?

Yes! Our blend is 100% derived from plants. Do not use if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients. As long as you use the products as instructed, it is safe for all members of the family. Just make sure to keep it away from little eyes and mouths.

Is Vampire Repellent safe while pregnant or breast-feeding?

Yes! Our blend is made of 100% natural ingredients with no chemicals. However, we recommend talking to your doctor before use.

Is Vampire Repellent safe for the environment?

Yes! We pride ourselves on Vampire Repellent being 100% plant derived ingredients, with zero chemicals or synthetic fragrances. Safe for you and the environment. 

Can I use this with sunscreen or other skincare products?

Generally, yes! Apply sunscreen or other skincare products first, let dry, then apply repellent. 

How often should I apply Vampire Repellent?

For best effectiveness, we recommend reapplying every 2-3 hours or at the first whisper of wings.

What if I am allergic to any of the ingredients?

Do not use or consult with your doctor. 

Are allergic reactions possible?

We recommend you use the product only as directed. Consult with your doctor before use if you have any concerns or known allergies to any of the ingredients. Discontinue use if redness or itching occurs. 

Has this product been evaluated?

This product has not been evaluated by the Food & Drug Administration. Our products are not intended to diagnose, cure, or prevent any disease.

Does Vampire Repellent expire?

We know you'll love it and it won't last this long, but we recommend you replenish your protection at least every three years.
